Angelique is a dynamic Canadian entrepreneur, scientist, and philanthropist, with a passion for technology and social impact. She is the co-founder and Vice President of PS Remember, a forward-thinking American social media and technology company.
Angelique Morrison's story is one of resilience, determination, and an unwavering belief in the power of connection. Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Angelique’s early years were shaped by the challenges of war, loss, and displacement. At a very young age, her family was forced to flee the violence of Africa’s First World War, seeking refuge in Canada. It was a life-altering move that marked the beginning of a remarkable journey.
Starting a new life in a foreign country with no knowledge of English, Angelique faced overwhelming challenges. Isolated and introverted, she relied on books and television shows to teach herself the language. During the late 90s, internet access was limited, but Angelique's determination to connect with others led her to master English, French and learn Spanish. Through sheer perseverance, she not only adapted to a new culture but thrived, excelling academically and socially.
Angelique graduated at the top of her class from Seneca College in 2008 with a degree in Biotechnology, earning multiple scholarships and accolades along the way, followed with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Guelph. She went on to work as a research assistant in the Cystic Fibrosis research center at the University of Guelph, all while developing a passion for entrepreneurship and technology.
But it wasn’t just her academic journey that shaped Angelique; it was the relationships she built along the way. While attending a rehearsal for an international gospel band, Angelique met Dwight. Their immediate connection grew into a lasting friendship and, in time, blossomed into love. They married in 2012 and became the proud parents of three children. Together, they built a life based on shared dreams and unwavering support for one another.
As Angelique built her life in Canada, she began to feel a deep longing to reconnect with her childhood friends from Congo. However, like her, many of them had been displaced by the war, and the search for old connections proved fruitless. This frustration sparked a realization—Angelique understood firsthand how important it was to stay connected with loved ones, but not everyone had the tools to do so.
In 2019, driven by the desire to connect people and offer hope, Angelique co-founded PS Remember, a revolutionary social media platform that helps people reconnect with classmates, colleagues, and friends based on the schools they attended. PS Remember quickly grew to serve over 147 countries and counting, reuniting old friends, strengthening professional networks, and supporting students and alumni as they navigate their academic and personal journeys.
Despite her growing success in the tech world, Angelique has never forgotten her roots. She remains deeply connected to her community, dedicating time to teaching others how to start a tech company—whether or not they have prior experience in technology. She is a passionate advocate for the power of education, entrepreneurship, and community-driven change.
But just when life seemed to be falling into place, tragedy struck. In an unimaginable loss, her 8-year-old daughter Trinity passed away suddenly. The grief was unbearable, but instead of allowing this tragedy to destroy her, Angelique chose to honor her daughter’s memory by becoming a beacon of hope and resilience.
Angelique’s journey from hardship to triumph—her ability to navigate language barriers, rebuild after loss, and overcome life’s toughest challenges—has equipped her with invaluable insights on how to rise above adversity. Today, she uses her story to inspire others, teaching them how to face challenges with unwavering resilience, stay focused on their goals, and turn setbacks into stepping stones.
She is an international speaker, sharing her journey with audiences around the world, empowering individuals to embrace their challenges, face adversity with courage, and continue to move forward with purpose. Her message is simple yet profound: "No matter the setbacks, you have the strength within you to rise, rebuild, and thrive."
Whether speaking to corporations, schools, or communities, her unique combination of personal experience, scientific acumen, and entrepreneurial success allows her to deliver talks that are not only deeply moving but also actionable and inspiring.
Don’t miss the opportunity to bring Angelique’s powerful message to your next event. Her insights, passion, and commitment to inspiring others will leave your audience motivated and ready to take the next step in their journey.
